HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my friends at Dunchurch Band.
Looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Maxine.
Well I just have to say what a wonderful concert it was last night.
I think our rendition of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, was absolutely fantastic, we did ourselves proud once again, I honestly do not know of any other brass band who has ever taken on a task like that in the 4th section, or to be honest any other band at all.
Well done Mark for coming up with a great idea, "I really don't know where he gets his idea's from, he surprises even myself". I am now waiting to see what he has instore for the next one as I am not sure how he is going to beat that.
I would like to thank everyone for their help in setting up and packing down before and after the concert, you help was really appreciated.
Also a very big thank you to all the band members and our guest speakers for making it such a wonderful night. You all did the band proud, never let anyone say Dunchurch Band don't do things in style as we certainly do. Well done one and all.
We really do have a band and conductor to be proud off.
Lastly I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year.
Love
Maxine.
I would just like to thank everyone for turning out today and playing at the "MUSIC FOR SIGHT" concert.
It was a fantastic turn out especially as we only had a few days notice to prepare ourselves. I am so proud of
you all.
The performance was very good and even the weather although being cold was not too bad and at least the rain held off.
Well Done to you all.
Maxine.
A BIG thank you to all in the band for supporting, at short notice, Music For Sight this Bank holiday Monday. You are true stars and I look forward to seeing (and hearing) you n the day. David
I would like to say a big well done to everyone who played today it was a great turn out and a very good performance too, we really did play well.
Thank you for making the summer booking so far an easy experience for me, not many guest players have had to be sort so far so a big well done.
You can (after next Thursday's rehearsal) all take a well deserved break for Summer (that is if we get one) happy holidays to you all.
Maxine.
I like the new look website. Well done Becks.
I'll see if I have any more pics to add to it.
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the concert last night at the Dunchurch Village Hall, our Christmas Concert, I loved every minute of it. I even enjoyed 12 Days of Christmas which is a first for me I must say, don't tell Mark though, keep my secret for me.
I am now looking forward to the same concert this time next year, lets hope it is a good as this one was.
Now I just have one last thing to say and that is:-
Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year to you all.
Love
Maxine.
Hello,
Our daughter, granddaughter and grandson all play for Dunchurch Band and we went to see them play at the Leamington competition, we enjoyed the bands performance and congratulate you all for taking part. We are both looking forward to the Christmas Concerts coming soon and will be there to support our family and the Band at Dunchurch Village Hall on Saturday 11th December and at Willoughby on Thursday 16th December 2010. Very best wishes to the band.
Frank and Judi Balsom
I too will miss Mark as Conductor of the Dunchurch Band I think he has done a great job, even if I say it myself. I have loved playing for him while he had this possition, I must admit I didn't always see eye to eye with him but do have to say Well Done to him as he has achieved a lot.
I am pleased that he is continuing with the band by playing an instrument, just not sure how he will fit in with us mad lot on the bass section, however I will welcome him on the team with open arms.
Well Done Mark and look forward to you coming on the bass section with me.
Maxine.
Will be sorry to lose Mark waving his baton but glad that he will remain with us as a player. He turned us into a fantastic concert band and our reputation has never been greater. We will certainly give of our best to whoever is appointed as our new conductor and would hope that he (or she) will enjoy working with us.
As stated by my families solicitors, your centenary is not till 2012, as we have documented proof. I would like to be audititions for the new musical directors position,as my greatgrandfather, and grandfather held the positions, and as i have also documented proof of what years they held the positions????? perhaps with your excellent date with records, you could tell me in what years they served when i come for my audition. i look forward to my challange??????. be prepared to work. I did sign a legal document that you prepared via your solicitors when i won our battle regarding who owned the bandroom, that i cannot and my wife play with my village band. it did not say i cannot conduct you. your holiday will be over.
Happy Centenary Dunchurch. Well done to everyone this year. In particular the committee and Mark for organising some fantastic concerts and making the cd. Here's to the next 100 years and winning the British Championship one day!
Hi, Just popped in to take a look at the New Dunchurch Band website and must say it is looking good, well done Becks.
Happy Centenary Year to you all. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you all at Leamington again this year. Like the new web site.

Alan
